There are many varied facilities in the villages, including The Towy River Yacht Club adjacent to the beach, and the Ferryside Rugby and Social Club on Glan Twyi. There is an active sports group and a multi games area on the Rugby pitch and village sports area.

In the square you will find a Post Office, The White Lion Pub, The Ferry Cabin Restaurant and Steve’s “sell everything” shop. There is ample parking for visitors, or anyone wanting to take the train, a mainline train going east or West – Ferryside is a request stop.

There are four chapels in the area where services are conducted in Welsh and 3 churches conducting bilingual/English services.
